The case against Bodytrim

G’day Folks,

You’ve no doubt heard all the positive stories about Bodytrim. And you probably know it has become a household name and #1 bestseller since we launched in 2007, already helping over 300,000 people transform their bodies and their lives. You’ve probably also heard about the recent study where a focus group of over 8,000 people lost an average of 6kg in the first week on the Bodytrim weight loss system.

But it’s not all a bed of roses. And I know there are plenty of people out there who are NOT getting results they really want. And when you read all of the success statistics I’ve just shared with you, it probably makes you more frustrated than ever.

Believe me – I can understand. Let me take a moment to explain…

Most people don’t know that as a young bloke I used to be an avid golfer. But when I started, to the least, I was terrible.

What made it worse was that being a member of a club, there were so many golfers around me that had played for a while and were great players.

One of these players was a guy named Paul who was winning all the club championships. At the time I hated this guy. Well, hate is a strong word, but it used to really frustrate me that he was so good and I was so bad.

I know I shouldn’t have. I know it was just jealousy. But I cannot deny that I did.

And that jealousy can drive you one of two ways –

  1. It can drive you forward toward success because the frustration… the anger… and the internal pain makes you want it more.
  2. Or it can cause you to fall into a pit of despair which leads to depression and simply resigning yourself to a life of living at less than your potential.

I went through both stages at different times of my amateur golf career. And truth be told, I felt like throwing in the towel at lot of the time.

It was tough. In fact, if I were relying purely on my own internal resources I would have given up within the first year.

But what got me through was my Dad. He was with me every step of the way and one of the fondest memories of my life was when I won the state junior pennant title when I was 14 or 15 at the NSW golf Club with Dad there cheering me on.

I simply couldn’t have done it without him.

Now, the technical “golf swing” aspects were one part of the equation that I definitely did dedicate myself to, BUT, without the coaching, motivation and support I received from my father… and the talks about having the right mindset… I would have thrown in the towel long before I won the competition.

Since then, I’ve reflected on this a lot over the past few years, and especially when I receive emails from people on the Bodytrim System who have…

  1. Lost weight and hit a plateau only to lose motivation… start eating junk food… jump on the “carb train” and end up on the never-ending cycle of cravings & self-sabotage
  2. Become bored with the food options and snack variety
  3. Been unable to stay motivated and stick with the program in order to achieve the results they deserve.
  4. Been stuck without support when things get tough and without a positive influence to keep them on track.

Even though I believe I have created the best program I could based on the knowledge I had at the time. And even though I believe – hand on heart – that Bodytrim is the best weight loss program available…  in some ways I have failed you by not providing you with the same motivational tools and support which allowed me to overcome my hurdles almost 20 years ago.

And as you will see over the coming weeks, there is a bigger piece of the “slimming your waistline” equation than what first meets the eye.

That’s why I have been working 18 hour days over the past 9 months to make my all new Bodytrim+ system bulletproof and help you overcome every single one of the frustrations you are facing now.

I’ve called it Bodytrim+ (ie. “plus”) because I believe that with the modifications made and additional motivation, psychology, goal setting and success principles that I have created and included in BT+ it can and will take over from where BT left off.

In many ways I feel I have made a great system even better thanks to feedback from the BT community and also additional coaching and content from people like Dr Natalie Green.

So let me make an announcement:

The all new and improved Bodytrim+ will be released to the Bodytrim community over the next few weeks.

And the good news is after discussions with my management team, we will be releasing this at a SUBSTANTIAL discount.

Two reasons for this:

  1. As one of our customers, you are the heart and soul of Bodytrim and we want to do everything possible to ensure you succeed. Without you we wouldn’t have such a strong community of believers and support network that helps so many others achieve their goals. And I wanted to put my money where my mouth is and express my appreciation for sticking with us as a member of the Bodytrim family even if you have not entirely achieved the results you ultimately desire.
  2. Also, we are hoping to get hundreds of testimonials from Bodytrim customers for our launch of Bodytrim+ to the general public. And the best way of doing this is keeping the price low to get as many people experiencing the amazing results with this program as possible.

However, we can only afford to make this offer available to a limited number of Bodytrim customers for a short period of time.

I’ll be revealing more about the program early next week. Plus, I am going to send a gift that anyone who has ever sabotaged their weight loss success is going to find highly educational.

So be on the lookout for your gift. If you get an email from me… I ask simply that you please OPEN IT.

Your friend,

Geoff Jowett

P.S. Over the next couple of weeks, leading up to the launch of Bodytrim+ I am going to be sending you a number of emails. And my aim is to make each one of them extremely valuable so you start moving towards your goals and burning away that excess fat before I even release the program. So stay tuned…

    Hi Geoff

Where do i start!! I bought BodyTrim in June of 2009.With the motivation of a wonderful holiday to Egypt coming up for May 2010 i lost an amazing 18 kilos…i still had about another 20 kilos to lose but i was very happy with that result and my husband and I had a wonderful trip.I enjoyed the new clothes i bought for our holiday.Being at least 3 to 4 sizes smaller was a joy!! But yes..you have guessed it.Most of that weight has slowly creapt back on.It is so depressing and so hard to become motivated again! I am planning to start BT afresh from tomorrow morning.I am looking forward to learning more about BT+

Dear Geoff,my husband and I are both in our early 60’s and decided now was the time to loose weight before retirement as we were both very overweight. We started your program early July 2010 and and in 3 months to the end of Sept have both lost 14kilo and feel that BodyTrim eating plan will now be a way of life for us both. We are feeling fantastic even though we do not do as much walking as we would like. Since the middle of Sept we have plateaued but do not wish to give up and encourage each other. We are looking forward very much to your BodyTrim+ program to continue our weight loss.

Wondering how you aim to keep the information in your new release current – in particular food options in grocery stores and take out options without constantly releasing new programs? The food list you have on site should be a living list which you add to as you reveal new options within the food industry. It should not just be an option with the new release of the + program as some of us will miss out on your insight because we dont have the $ to pay for the new program.

Additionally, my biggest concern is how one should best manage the ‘free day’ without causing a complete stop in the weightloss process. Is it best to just not have ‘free days’?

    Regards

Hi Geoff, I started the Body Trim program and very quickly lost 3 pounds. Although I stuck to the diet, the remainder of my excess weight would not shift. I am in menopause and a vegetarian. I stuck to eggs, tofu and other soy products. I have 6 kilos to lose (weight gained when I started the menopause) and feel at a loss as in the past I was able to keep my weight stable. Irrespective of how little I eat, nothing happens. Do you feel, this particular diet may not be suitable for vegetarians?

To cut a long story short lost 20kg, hit plateau now 20kg heavier. Wow what a loser and not the good kind.I feel that bodytrim works just need help more with the mental stuff and support. I would love to know more! Desperately unhappy, overweight human needing extra help – could bodytrim plus be my light in the dark. Practically speaking though what is in the new program, how costly is it and being from a small country town access to products can be challenging – not the same options as city folks. The body will follow where the mind leads but Geoff I need directions. I wish you could be my compass.

  7. Sally Gower Says:

It really really dose work. I have lent the cd’s and book to soooo many people I don’t now know who has it. Hopefully I can remember the basics of the eating plan and loose another stone by the time my son gets married in 6 weeks time.

Thank yuo so much for creating this….it’s FANTASTIC

  8. Chris Hodsdon Says:

I am going to buy Body Trim+ for myself as I certainly did plateau and then went backwards. So I’ll give it another shot.

But my wife is also very interested in losing weight but she tried a similar program with disastrous effects. She lost all regularity of bowel function and we felt this was because of a lack of the fibre to which she was used.

    Any tips here?

  9. P Andrew Says:

I am trying for the 10th time this week to use BT. I can last about 3 weeks, but normally plateau after 2 weeks. I lose a stone, but still need to lose another 4 stone. I do all the the things you say in terms of what you do when you plateau, and still I sit there on 14 stone. With menopause, depression and then drinking, I am at my wits end.

  10. Camille Norman Says:

    Hey Geoff,
Started bodytrim april ’09, lost around 8kgs on it, thoroughly happy with the lean body it gave me, managed to keep the weight off for a year, was then diagnosed with depression and turned to ‘happy foods.’ I remember an email you wrote about BT helping with depression, although i did not keep it and would like your thoughts on that subject again, i think it is a fantastic programme and am excited to purchase BT+ as i know it is definitley the phsycological side that i struggle with when it comes to ‘hurdles’ in my life.

  11. Sylvia Brown Says:

Hi Geoff, I started on Body Trim+ on November 2nd 2010 and i got great results, I lost 2kg in 3days and now my jeans are bit more looser and by 2nd week i lost 2 kg again and now im going a little bit up in weight as i messed up and i gained a bit of weight again but, i love bt+ as you are eating alot of food 6meals a day. I feel a bit down as i have depression for a while. My goal by next june is that i want to lose all my entire amount of weight of 50kg. Thanks Geoff for the new forum.
I am 95kg and I want to get to 45-49 kg.

  12. Maggaz Says:

Is it just me? or does there appear to be a theme common amongst many of these threads, namely Depression.
I literally have started this programme 2 days ago, and like many have and continue to deal with feelings of low self worth and low self esteem, however I’m fortunate to be doing this programme with 3 other people. I know it is extremely difficult to try and undergo a programme such as this, if I am first confronted by my own internal ‘demons’ (feelings of self loathing, disliking my body image, never looking past what I see in the mirror etc). I share this because I have actively tried to attempt to address these issues first, to allow me to move forward and do this programme.
I have learnt that it is ok if I slip now and then, but to be positive and carry on. May you all have a great journey while on BT. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!!!! 🙂

    Hi,
As I get motivated towards starting this system, every time I break my routine in 2 days of time as I get sore foot and cant walk and then I am back to my normal lifestyle, making more fat. According to Dr, I have got this disease called GOUT. More protein influences the occurrence of this sore foot. My GP is trying not to make me have too much protein to have suffer from this GOUT. Any Suggestion ??….I want to lose weight and my BMI is 30.5 and I am said to be obese. Can you please help me?……I am feeling depressed now…:-(….Thanks
